Abstract: New structural carbon dioxide sorbents based on supported polyamines onto silica monoliths with hierarchical pore structure were elaborated. Sorption capacity/type/amount of amine precursor relationships were studied. The results obtained were compared with the literature data relating to the sorption of CO2 on similarly modified powdered porous materials. The proposed carriers, in addition to a more usable form, showed improved sorption properties.
