Abstract: The paper presents estimation of the viscous and inertial friction components for structured catalyst carriers such as: sinusoidal short-channel structure, knitted wire gauze, ring-rosette structure. Calculations based on the experimental results of pressure drop and Nusselt numbers applying the Generalised Lévêque Equation (GLE).
