Abstract: Biofiltration of airstream contaminated by hydrophilic Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) proceeds in a higher yield than for hydrophobic VOC. Improvement of the process for hydrophobic VOC is possible by addition a hydrophobic phase to bioreactor. Use of the hydrophobic phase in trickle bed bioreactors enable increased conversion degree of hydrophobic pollutant.
